Responsible play
Boxster is entertainment shopping. Every box guarantees you value, but that doesn't mean every purchase is a good idea for you. These tools and tips help you stay in control.
Keep it fun
- Decide on a budget before you start and treat it like any other shopping budget.
- Open boxes for the items, not to "win." Every item is disclosed with its odds; nothing you do changes those odds.
- Don't chase a specific item. A 0.5% item will, on average, take 200 openings to appear, and the odds reset every time.
- Take breaks. Set a timer, step away, and come back when you want to, not because a reel is spinning.
- Only spend money you can afford to spend on products. Credits are not refundable and cannot be cashed out.
Tools we give you
- Self-exclusion. Lock your account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 6 months from Profile → Account → Responsible play. A lock cannot be shortened once set.
- Transaction history. Every Credit purchase, opening, sell-back and exchange is listed under Profile → Transactions so you always know what you have spent.
- Account closure. Email support@boxster.io to close your account permanently.
Signs it may be time to stop
Spending more than you planned, hiding your spending from people close to you, opening boxes to feel better, or feeling anxious or irritable when you can't open a box. If any of these sound familiar, use self-exclusion and talk to someone.
